One of your main goals with your business blog is having a group of readers who participate on your blog. The worst thing is to have a group of people who never say anything and they just lurk when visiting.
So then you want people to feel comfortable enough to come out of the closet and interact. And this leads to a better, more engaging blog that only grows with time. Increasing commenting activity is possible, but you need to understand the underlying dynamics.
Probably most bloggers know in the back of their minds that reader engagement matters, but they do not know what to do. There are many ways you can tell people to leave a comment, and it is not too pushy to tell them if you say it the right way. So think about doing that, and you should do it because you must take action. You should make sure that you are including a call to action with each of your posts so that your readers know what action to take. Copywriters have used the call to action for so many decades because it works; has something to do with people having a tough time making a decision. Become a thought leader within your niche and show your readers that you know what you’re talking about. So you do that and then work on writing the best posts you can, and that will be sufficient most times. Also, understand that there are different writing strategies you can use no matter what niche you are in. When you do that, then the chances of others writing to agree or disagree will definitely increase.
How you write and the tone of your writing voice needs to be genuine at all times. You do have an audience, but if you are in a certain niche then you do need to write accordingly. This leads to a better understanding from your readers, and helps you form your own brand in their eyes. Even though it may not look like a fool proof way of getting more comments, it’s something that will add a positive element to your blog. This is about putting the pieces together so your posts are more powerful, and then you can work on the comments with it.
As stated in the beginning, comments have a powerful effect on visitors when they land on any blog. If you are not sure about your own site, then we suggest you have somebody look at it and make recommendations. What you want to do, initially, is get something on the boards, and after that you engage them and see what happens. Now, we hope you realize what you can do to make this happen and it is not difficult to do.
